Job summary

We have an exciting temporary Bank opportunity for experienced and enthusiastic administrators (x3) to join our expanding System Support Admin team to support with current workload pressures within Urgent Care.

Working both autonomously and as part of the team, the successful candidate will work with in close liaison with the a multi-discipline team comprising of nurse coordinators, therapists, social workers to provide comprehensive admin support to help facilitate discharges from Acute hospital Trusts.

The successful candidate will need to be able to attend our Old Swan, Broadgreen and Aintree office sites for day to day work, meetings or for training purposes and available to start immediately. This may include week-end working on a rotation basis.

The role provides a fantastic opportunity to creatively develop the role and work with senior team members to help shape service improvements.

Main duties of the job

To act as an administrator within the System Support Team working in close liaison with the a multi-discipline team comprising of nurse coordinators, therapists, social workers . The post holder is also expected to update a variety of systems in accordance with multi trust patients protocols

The post holder will be required to effectively communicate with relevant agencies across the whole system including LUFHT Co-Ordinators, Intermediate Care Teams and Urgent Care Teams to collate and transfer accurate information

Job description

Job responsibilities

  1. To manage referrals from a variety of health and social care professionals and accurately
  2. Recording specific medical information and terminology directly onto service computer systems in accordance with service and trust.
  3. The post holder is required to action any missing information in line with referral protocols and referral management service flow charts especially the transfer of care (TOCs) documents.
  4. To respond to telephone queries from referring clinicians in acutes/CCGs/HUBS/Primary care about their patients regarding status of referrals
  5. To participate in regular audits necessary to monitor effectiveness of service provision and identify data issues across each care pathway.
  6. To be aware of status of acute and community facilities on a daily basis through relevant dashboard list and ensure all members of the team are informed of any updates.
  7. Carry out information gathering functions on a daily basis, enabling efficient provision of service and supporting the role of the Operations Service
  8. Uphold patient confidentiality at all times and adhere to NHS guidelines
  9. Actively input into the development and provision of alternative pathways
  10. To assist in maintaining links with acutes/CCGs/HUBS/Primary care about their patients regarding status of referrals etc

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word Applications
  • Computer literate
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office or other database software
  • Ability to use email.
  • Willingness to undertake further training/qualifications

Desirable

  • RSA III (or equivalent)
  • NVQ 3 Business Admin or equivalent relevant office experience
  • Excellent Audio Typing
  • ECDL

  • Previous clerical experience.
  • Familiar with standard office practice and procedures.
  • Have an understanding of the implication of the data protection act
