Job summary
An exciting vacancy has arisen for a qualified CBT Therapist to work in the specialty of adult mental health. We are looking for someone with the clinical skills to enable them to work with severe, enduring and complex mental health problems, providing assessments, formulations and therapeutic interventions.
The Psychological Therapies Step 4 Service, is a team comprised of clinical psychologists, CBT therapists and nurses, the latter working on the Personality Disorder Pathway.

Main duties of the job
To be responsible for the provision of highly specialist cognitive behaviour therapies for the mental health care of people suffering significant and/or severe psychological difficulties. In particular, to establish services that meet the agreed service priorities within the team, consonant with practitioner experience and expertise. Such services to include the implementation of highly specialist cognitive behaviour therapy assessment and intervention strategies including clinical casework, and where appropriate, supervision of other team members in the use of cognitive behavioural methods generally for the assurance of quality in the use of cognitive behaviour therapy by other team members. This job description recognises the need to ensure appropriate supervision and professional development as a core theme.
