This is an exciting opportunity for 3 full-time Band 7 Clinical Team Managers within the Talk Liverpool / NHS Talking Therapies Liverpool (formerly known as IAPT ) service.
Our service is undergoing an expansion of its workforce, and there are significant opportunities for service development.
The service is split in to 3 teams; North, Central and South. We are looking for a Clinical Team Managers for each location.
Talk Liverpool is an NHS Talking Therapies (formerly known as IAPT) service for those aged over 16yrs in Liverpool. The service is delivered by Merseycare NHS Foundation Trust, and offers a variety of support and psychological therapies to the community of Liverpool. Our interventions are diverse and evidence based, ranging from guided self-help and face-to-face or video therapy, telephone support to workshop courses.
We know that we can only achieve a high-quality clinical service by maximising the efforts of our team and by creating an environment where colleagues are valued and involved in developing the service. We work closely with other services and service user groups to refine and improve the service that we offer.

Main duties of the job
The Post holder will:
- Deputise for the Operational Manager as and when required
- Liaise with the wider Senior Management Team to ensure the safe, effective, and efficient running of the teams within the Liverpool NHS Talking Therapies (IAPT) service.
- Ensure the successful delivery of Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) - including recovery, wait times, and patient access numbers.
- Be the primary contact for arising issues, including the coordination and facilitation of responses to concerns/complaints, incident reports, incident reviews, communication of team performance information, effective management of sickness/absence, leave allocation, and leading on disciplinary investigations.
- Ensure systems are in place to deliver a balanced budget at the end of the financial year; making effective and efficient use of resources.
- Predict and report on trends/potential deficits to the Operational Manager.
- Be involved in the recruitment and selection, deployment and overseeing management of staff within area of responsibility; ensuring appropriate staffing levels are maintained to meet the changing needs of the service.
- Ensure staff within area of responsibility comply with Trust and Service Mandatory training requirements.
- Be responsible for Estates; awareness of all documentation and contingency plans relating to buildings; ensuring consistency and compliance with security arrangements and all other Health and Safety needs.
