Job summary
An opportunity has arisen for one experienced Senior Mental Health Practitioner to join a well established community team specialising in Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) in Halton
Halton CAMHS has successfully implemented Thrive and work closely with our multi-agency partners throughout the Halton borough. The role is tasked with the duty (referral management), assessment, drop in services, case management and therapeutic intervention for children and young people under 18 years. Our consultation offer includes working with CSC, Education and third sector organisations and is a very important aspect to our work.
We would welcome nurses of different specialities, social workers, and occupational therapists with mental health and/or learning disability experience to apply. We would also welcome newly qualified staff keen to develop in the field of CAMHS and would offer B5 to B6 transition post including preceptorship if applicable.
Main duties of the job
To provide high standards of evidence based client centred care.
To provide case management, clinical assessment and interventions to children, young people and their families with complex mental health needs.
The role will include direct and indirect client work as well as consultation and liaison with other professionals around the specialist clinical area of CAMHS. The post-holder will be engaged in all levels of clinical response from urgent assessments to lower priority cases.
The post holder will be expected to work as a member of the CAMHS Multi-disciplinary team (MDT).
