Ward Manager
An exciting opportunity has arisen within local division to manage one of our specialist mental health units.
Heys Court is a 16 bedded Unit for older people with mental health issues who require ongoing rehabilitation/ assessment or support prior to discharge into the wider community setting.
You will be responsible for progressing the service towards clinical excellence, leading a team of multi-professionals in a holistic approach to care rehabilitation and treatment . This opportunity will be both challenging and rewarding, and the successful candidate will receive regular supervision and developmental appraisal, thus enhancing current clinical practice and future career prospects.
This post will suit a pro-active practitioner who wants to make a difference for service users who have a variety of complexities and will be able to lead and motivate nursing staff in the provision of high quality patient focused care.
Applicants should be RN (MH) qualified with experience at Band 6 level or above and have significant demonstrable inpatient/post registration experience, together with evidence of post registration study and continuing professional development.

You will be expected to demonstrate good clinical assessment skills and to ensure a high standard of care is delivered within the Ward.
It is imperative that you can engage with Carer's and outside agencies so that discharge planning is effective and collaborative.
You will be expected to interface and work alongside Local Authority/ CCG and external care providers.
