Job summary
We are looking for a qualified CYPWP to support us in ensuring we deliver outstanding patient care, every time in the Halton CAMHS Service. We are looking to develop services to ensure that we meet the needs for children and young people in Halton.
This post is part of service transformation and re-modelling and will be key to improving services for children and young people. Through Manchester University and the Psychological Therapies Training Centre at Prestwich we offer Post Graduate Certificates and Diplomas in a range of psychological therapies.
This post is subject to an enhanced with children's and adults barred list Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) Check.
Main duties of the job
As a Children & Young People Wellbeing Practitioner (CYPWP), the post holder will provide high standards of evidence based client centred care to children and young people with mental health [CYPMH] problems within the THRIVE Framework for service delivery.
The postholder will be expected to provide assessment and low intensity Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) interventions to children and young people and their families / carers referred into the service.
As the post is identified within the CYPMH strategy, it is expected the role will continue to develop in line with national and local initiatives.
The post holder will demonstrate an attitude which respects and values service users' and their carers.
