Job summary

To lead as clinical specialist in the field of biomechanics and musculo-skeletal lower limb problems for the podiatry service in primary and secondary care. To provide the necessary specialised knowledge and skills in the assessment, diagnosis and treatment of patients presenting with complex problems. To work at an advanced level and provide advice, support and training to colleagues in podiatry and in other clinical fields in relation to biomechanics and gait analysis.

Main duties of the job

Mersey Care Foundation Trustprovides community podiatry services to the populations of Liverpool.

This post requires a person who is highly specialised and has at least 2 years knowledge, clinical skills and experience at a senior level in the field of biomechanics and orthotics, including knowledge of musculo skeletal function, evidence based practice, research in the field and an understanding of the role of other clinicians in Biomechaninics.

We are offering this excellent learning and development opportunity for a motivated HCPC registered Band 7 Specialist Podiatrist to join our Community Team, to work with our Neighbourhood Partners in the delivery of a high standard of patient centered care.

We deliver podiatry in clinic settings and patients' own homes, including nursing and residential homes.

We would require demonstrable post registration/qualification experience.

You will be expected to work flexibly and will be expected to travel to different settings across the Trust's geographical footprint during the course of the working day.
