Job summary

The post holder will provide an assessment of patients in this service to support the caseload of clients with Long COVID symptoms using evidence based and client-centred principles to assess, plan, implement and evaluate interventions.

The successful candidate will be expected to carry out all relevant forms of care, providing highly specialised advice and physiotherapeutic input of for the treatment of this disease.

You will play a vital role in supporting the delivery of integrated, co-ordinated, comprehensive, seamless, person-centred care. As a member of the Tier 3 Long COVID Assessment & Treatment service Multidisciplinary Team (MDT) you will be required to make recommendations based on the principles of shared decision making for people living with or experiencing the impact of long covid symptoms and access Tier 3 Services.

Main duties of the job

As a member of the Tier 3 Long COVID Assessment & Treatment service Multidisciplinary Team (MDT) you will be required to make recommendations and will always take account of the views, preferences and circumstances of patients/service users, parents or carers when considering clinical and non-clinical decision-making.

The post holder will work as a key member of the multidisciplinary team in the assessment and management of a caseload of clients, and plan, deliver and evaluate the treatment needs of clients with a variety of complex social and health care needs.

The post holder will participate as an active member of the multidisciplinary team in developing and delivering high quality and innovative services to the local population, to promote effective teamwork within Mersey Care delegating activities appropriately, to the benefit of the patient and service delivery.

  • Relevant qualification in Physiotherapy Current registration with HCPC as a Physiotherapist
  • Experience and/or additional education in relevant field to post gradual diploma or equivalent level, combination of education, further training, and experience
  • Evidence of CPD relevant to treatment of older adults, physical disability, and rehabilitation
  • Evidence of an up to date CPD portfolio

Desirable

  • Qualification in team / service management or prepared to work towards
  • Masters level study related to rehabilitation or prepared to work toward
  • Membership of the CSP
