Job summary
A really exciting opportunity has arisen for a newly qualified Clinical Psychologist to work in a friendly and supportive Early Intervention in Psychosis team.
The team supports individuals between the age of 14 years to 65 years who are experiencing a first episode of psychosis in the boroughs of Halton and Warrington.
The successful candidate's main role will be to deliver and supervise the provision of evidence based psychological therapies within the EIP team. Supervision and support will be available within the Trust and we have strong links with local Universities who conduct world leading research into Psychological Therapies for psychosis as well as Clinical Psychology Training Programmes. Further training within CBT for Psychosis will be supported and we have a strong track record of supporting CPD activities.
The successful candidate will be provided with a dedicated office space in St Johns Unit, Widnes. Free parking is available across the main sites.
There are good transport links in the area for any applicants living externally to the Halton and Warrington Borough, near the cities of Liverpool and Manchester within easy reach to areas such as North Wales and the Lake District offering really positive work life balance.
We operate 9-5 Monday- Friday, however, we do show flexibility often and will facilitate visit out of hours to meet the needs of our service users.
Main duties of the job
To be responsible for the systematic provision of highly specialist psychological services for service users and their families/carers suffering primarily from complex psychological problems.
In particular, to provide services that meet the agreed service priorities consonant with practitioner experience and expertise. Such services to include the development and implementation of highly specialist psychological assessment and intervention strategies including clinical casework and the provision of consultancy work generally for the assurance of quality in the use of psychological methods by other team members.
