Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Mental Health Urgent Care Division to work as a senior mental health practitioner to deliver high quality safe and effective care.
This is a demanding and challenging role where, as a successful candidate, you will be required to demonstrate high levels of resilience, excellent problem solving and inter-personal skills as well as the ability to provide sound clinical and managerial support to team members.
The post holder will also demonstrate a passion for mental health urgent care team delivery, quality improvement and attitude which respects and values service users' choice and works alongside them and their carers to ensure they are at the centre of care planning.
This Post is open to Annex 21 applicants wishing to develop within the area of Mental Health Urgent Care covering Home Treatment, Assessment/ Urgent Response/Crisis Line and Core 24 (AED's) across the division.

Main duties of the job
The post holder is responsible for the assessment of care needs and the development, implementation and evaluation of programmes of care within the framework of Effective Care Co-ordination (ECC).
The post holder will operate as part of an Mental Health Urgent Care Service but be expected to be flexible in terms of delivering care within a variety of environments.
The team will work to assess and provide treatment to service users with complex needs. Alternative options to admission will be considered where possible.
The post holder will demonstrate an attitude which respects and values service users' choice and works alongside them and their carers to ensure they are at the centre of care planning.
The post holder will be expected to participate in a 24hr roster system 7 Days a week, on a rotational basis as and when the service demands.
