An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Family Nurse Partnership in Liverpool.
The Family Nurse Partnership (FNP) is an evidence - based preventive programme offered to young mothers having their first baby.
The aim of the programme is to improve antenatal health, child health and development and parents' economic self sufficiency.
The programme is a nurse -led intensive home visiting programme that begins in pregnancy and can continue until the child is two years old.
Shortlisting date is planned for: 18th January 2022
Main duties of the job
- Be responsible for delivering an intensive, preventive home visiting programme to vulnerable, young women who are expecting their first baby.
- Be expected to develop therapeutic relationships with clients and work intensively within complex family situations to achieve the expected outcomes of the programme.
- Lead on continuous service improvement and ensure high-quality provision of service, deliver the Healthy Child Programme to all children, young people and families, including fathers on your caseload.
- Create and maintain a learning culture by modelling effective practice, building on the FNP research and evidence-based programme in accordance with regulatory and legal frameworks, FNP guidance and working within the FNP licence agreement.
- Use programme materials and methods in the clients homes in order to achieve various outcomes, for example:- improve outcomes in pregnancy- Improve children's health and development through sensitive and responsive parenting-Improve parental economic self sufficiency

The successful candidate will be a highly motivated, proactive and compassionate individual who is looking to further develop their public health nursing skills to deliver a quality evidence -based programme to families.
The post requires a relevant first level degree. Candidates will need to demonstrate they have a diverse skill set to meet the demanding role and a commitment to the ethos and principles of the FNP Programme. This includes being highly skilled in communication with a strong approach to team work including recent integrated working with 0 - 19 services and other stakeholders.
