Radiography Dental Nurse

Job summary

The post holder under the direction of the Consultant team and in partnership with members of the multidisciplinary team will support a seamless radiography service, ensuring that patients receive the highest standard of clinical care across multi-specialist departments within the Dental Care Division.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will work as Radiography Dental Nurse for a minimum of five clinical sessions within the Radiology suite on the second floor and will also work clinically as a dental nurse when required to maintain your clinical competencies. The post holder will demonstrate a high level of expertise within the clinical service, providing specialist advice, education and support to health care professionals and patients. The post holder will actively undertake clinical audits and research within the clinical areas. Support will be given to attend training/courses appropriate to this role.

Essential

  • Dental Nurse Professional Qualification
  • Professional registration with the GDC
  • English Language and Maths GCSE Standard
  • Nationally Recognised Dental Nurse Radiography Qualification

Desirable

  • Additional professional post-qualification or working towards
  • Evidence of competency-based training (phlebotomy/impression taking etc)

Experience

  • Management/supervisory experience
  • Previous NHS Experience in an Hospital Setting.
  • Evidence of multi disciplinary team working
  • Experience of working within radiology/taking intraoral and extraoral radiographs.
