Clinical Trials Administrative Support Officer

Job summary

To provide comprehensive, high quality and efficient administrative support for the research governance activities undertaken by MFT; in particular to provide the necessary administrative support for the feasibility and set-up of commercial studies. To support MFT with all aspects of administration in relation to their research activities. To work efficiently and to a high quality according to Good Clinical Practice (GCP), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Work Instructions and Trust policies.

Education

Essential

  • GCSE/O level Maths and English or equivalent minimum NVQ3 plus relevant practical experience

Desirable

  • Degree in a science or health related discipline in another field with experience in clinical trials
  • ECDL

Knowledge and Experience

Essential

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, Access, Powerpoint and other packages
  • Use of email and internet
  • Extensive experience of databases and spreadsheets, including inputting, analysis and report writing
  • Experience of office administration

Desirable

  • An understanding of the research processes in the NHS including research governance and regulations relating to research practice.
  • Previous work in the NHS
