Smokefree Pregnancy Service Administrator

Job summary

The post holder will work as part of the Smokefree Pregnancy Service and act as a contact point for the team providing a wide range of administrative and clerical duties. The main responsibilities will be actioning referrals, record keeping and data collection.

Main duties of the job

The main responsibilities will be actioning referrals, record keeping and data collection and will include:

Support the smokefree pregnancy service team with any administrative related activities.

Act as a first point of contact for referrals and arrange appointments with the Maternity tobacco dependency advisors.

Provide basic information to pregnant women about the role of the Smokefree pregnancy service in supporting their quit journey.

Maintain up to date, accurate and comprehensive records at all times, using the Smokefree pregnancy digital platform and Hive.

To maintain databases and support data collection.

To plan own workload and activities within role boundaries and under the management and guidance of the Smokefree pregnancy

specialist midwife.

Responsible for maintaining appointment diaries and clinical records.

Essential

  • NVQ Level 3 or equivalent experience.

Desirable

  • Smoking cessation Advisor Intermediate level qualification.

Knowledge

Essential

  • Evidence of continuing personal development.
  • Experience of working within a health setting.
  • Knowledge of NHS hospital administrative systems.

  • Smoking cessation NCSCT trained
