Job summary

The Trafford Elective Surgical Hub (TESH) is seeking a motivated and organised Office Assistant (Band 2) to support the efficient delivery of the Pre-Operative Assessment (POA) service. This is a key administrative role ensuring that patients are booked promptly and accurately into their pre-operative appointments, enabling safe and smooth progression along the surgical pathway.

The post-holder will provide day-to-day administrative and clerical support within a busy office environment, including managing patient information, maintaining electronic records, handling telephone enquiries, and supporting clinic flow. A strong focus on customer service, attention to detail, and the ability to work professionally with patients and the wider multi-disciplinary team are essential.

Main duties of the job

Arrange and amend pre-operative assessment appointments, ensuring accurate and timely booking. Maintain and update patient records, including data entry, scanning and filing. Handle telephone enquiries professionally and support the cancellation line. Provide high-quality customer service, escalating queries when needed. Support daily office and clinic operations, following Trust policies and confidentiality requirements.
