Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a full time and part time Specialist Physiotherapist to work in the Elective Orthopaedic Therapy Team based at the Trafford Surgical Elective Hub.
You will be working as part of a dynamic, well-established, multidisciplinary team, alongside a Clinical Lead, experienced Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists and Rehabilitation Assistants. We work closely with the multidisciplinary team, ensuring a holistic approach to patient care. You will provide the specialist assessment and management of Elective Orthopaedic patients at the Trafford Elective Hub and work with a wide range of patients across the Day Surgery unit and the In-patient orthopedic ward. As part of this Band 6 role you will contribute to service developments and quality improvement initiatives. You will be responsible for the supervision of Band 5's and unregistered members of staff. You will support undergraduate education as well as your own continued professional development. The Trust operates a 7 day and evening twilight service and all staff are expected to contribute. You would also be expected to contribute to the on call respiratory rota. Main duties of the job
Assessment and management of Day-case and in-patient elective orthopedic patients.
Supervision of rehab assistants and band 5 physiotherapists
Clinical mentorship of student physiotherapists
Service development projects, such as audit and quality improvement programmes
Participate in weekend and twilight rotas
Participate in on-call respiratory rota.
