Main duties of the job
A core member of the ENT surgical service and Head and Neck Clinical Service Unit:
Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust is a major teaching Trust with 10 hospitals on several sites.
As part of the MFT's Head and Neck specialties, the ENT service has an international reputation in many of the fields in which it provides services. It is the largest ENT department in the UK and provides secondary and tertiary services for Greater Manchester and tertiary services for the North West region and beyond. Integration between the different sites of the MFT campus is set to offer a unique opportunity to create a single local ENT service for the City of Manchester whilst continuing to offer highly specialised tertiary care to both the local population and well beyond.
The post holder will join a team of ENT surgeons at North Manchester Hospital who provide a range of subspecialty services including otology, rhinology, paediatric ENT, laryngology and head & neck cancer surgery. We are looking for an otology trained individual who will help deliver the otology and general services at North Manchester whilst working with the existing otologists and the extended members of the Otology service. The post holder will be part of the dedicated out of hours on-call service.
