Locum Consultant Ophthalmologist with Special Interest in Uveitis

Job summary

The Manchester Royal Eye Hospital wishes to invite applications for the post of a Consultant Ophthalmologist with a special interest in Uveitis to join the current team at the Manchester Uveitis Clinic.

Main duties of the job

The Consultant will provide sub-specialty expertise in the Uveitis Service, which is currently based at the Oxford Road Campus, with outreach clinics across the city including Altrincham.

Applicants should have the Fellowship of the Royal College of Ophthalmologists or equivalent. A higher degree is desirable but not essential. This is a 10 PA consultant.

Applications will be welcomed from those, who for personal reasons, cannot work full-time.

Applicants must be eligible for full registration with the GMC at the time of appointment.

Applicants must have entry on the GMC Specialist Register via one of the following:

1) Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) (The proposed CCT date must be within 6 months of the interview)

2) Certificate of Eligibility for Specialist Registration (CESR) (CESR Candidates must have written GMC confirmation at the time of application)
