Job summary
Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust are delighted to be recruiting one substantive Consultant in Dental and Maxillofacial Radiology (DMFR), who will help provide specialist secondary and tertiary DMFR and Head & Neck (H&N) services for adults and children based primarily between The University Dental Hospital of Manchester (UDHM) and Manchester Royal Infirmary (MRI).
The successful candidate will join a dynamic team of Consultants across Dental Imaging and Adults' Imaging in MFT, including 2 Consultants in Dental Radiology and 10 Consultant H&N/Neuro Radiologists, as part of a broader team of 57 Consultant Radiologists in Adults' Radiology.

Main duties of the job
Subspecialty
In Dental Imaging, the key roles of the post-holder will include:o Providing specialist opinion on conventional dental radiographs (not primary reporting)o Providing radiological reports on CBCT imaging (UDHM based scanner)o Provision of specialist Dental Imaging "hot reporting" verbally or via HIVE comms
In Adults' Imaging, there is some flexibility in the work available and opportunities to develop or learn new skills.o Provision of salivary gland diagnostic imaging and salivary gland interventionso H&N Ultrasound including intra-oral, and biopsy worko H&N Cross-sectional CT/MR reporting including Dental/Oral/Salivary imaging but also support for developing skills in any other areas of H&N imaging including Cancer and non-cancer imaging
Acute & On-Call Radiology
There is no general radiology or acute/on-call adults radiology requirements with this role.
