Job summary
We are looking for someone to work in a busy, customer/administration service-based role who has excellent telephone and communication skillsto join our Administration team at St Mary's@Wythenshawe Hospital primarily on our C1 reception.
You will work alongside the Consultants, Doctors and Midwives to ensure patients receive the best care possible, we are looking for someone tobring a positive approach to our working environment.
Successful candidates must have excellent IT skills and experience working in a customer service or healthcare environment as you will beexpected to use IT and communication equipment associated with call handling and data input.

You will also need to work flexibly across our Maternity service applying a methodical approach to a varying workload. Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work on your own initiative and as part of a team are essential.
o The role is 30 hours per weeko The hours required will be 13:45 - 19:45 Wednesday to Sunday although the candidate will need to be flexible dependent on service needs.
Main duties of the job
Provide a robust and professional reception & general administrative service as required by the department.
To attend patients in HIVE in keeping with departmental & Trust policies.
To provide a professional and confidential telephone service to pregnant people and healthcare professionals. Ensuring phone calls enquiries are actioned & communicated in a timely manner.
Assist the Consultant and Midwives with any requirements within the clerical and administration job role.
Scheduling, rescheduling and cancellation of maternity appointments & scans on HIVE.
Managing relevant appointment Work queues and snap boards on HIVE.
Report IT issues on behalf of the team and keep an accurate record of job references, brief information of issues and outcomes using excel databases.
Maintain a smart appearance.
Any other duties which are commensurate with the post and grading as requested by the Management team.
