Rheumatology High Cost Drug Coordinator

Job summary

An interesting opportunity has arisen in the Outpatient Clinical Service Unit relating to the Rheumatology Department for an experienced administrator looking to apply their skills and knowledge in a fast paced environment.

We are looking for someone who is adaptable, has proficient knowledge of microsoft excel and teams coupled with high attention to detail and a passion for patient care!

The purpose of the role is to ensure the delivery of the very best care and experience to all patients through effective administrative management of processes within their remit.

Main duties of the job

A typical day would see the post holder support and liaise with the clinical team which includes Consultants, Specialist Nurses, pharmacists and external homecare companies.

Working with medical prescribers, to ensure the right patients are being monitored appropriately and receiving their prescriptions within the correct clinical timeframes.

The post holder will also act as a point of contact for patients who require assistance or advice in relation to their medications.

Being a key member of the team, the post holder will also attend multi-discplinary meetings, recording administrative actions and ensuring these are followed through.
