Job summary
Undertake the role of assisting the multidisciplinary team in the delivery of all aspects of care so as to ensure patient focused care is delivered safely and in a timely manner
Provide clinical support as required to help ensure the efficient and effective running of the ward at all time
Assist registered staff in the assessment, planning, delivery and evaluation of nursing care.
Main duties of the job
Assist and enable patients in achieving the following aspects of daily living:
Achieve and maintain personal hygiene and appearance
Ensure the patients intake of drinks ,fluids and food is documented accurately and when necessary assist patients in feeding and drinking as well as making dietary decisions.
Achieve patient optimum mobility and physical comfort using all available equipment and manual handling techniques were appropriate.
Maintaining patients privacy and dignity.
Maintaining patients independance and identity.
Prevention of pressure area damage
Contribute to the effective care of the dying patient so as to ensure the patient dignity in death

- Holds National Care Certificate or be willing to undertake and complete within 12 weeks of starting
- Holds Functional Skills Level 1 Maths and English or GCSE equivalent or undertake and achieve a pass following completion of level 1 functional skills assessment.
- Will be required to undertake level 2 apprenticeship in health care or gain equivalent knowledge and skill through the Trust's Clinical Support Worker Development Programme.
