Network Operational and Engagement lead

Job summary

This is an exciting opportunity to develop and evolve the care for Sickle cell and Thalassemia patients across the Northwest for Sickle cell and the North for Thalassemia,

The role covers both the Adult and Pediatric services for the region with the Specialist Haemoglobinopathy Team based at Manchester Royal Infirmary, Royal Manchester Children's Hospital, Royal Liverpool Hospital and Alder Hey Children's Hospital.

Main duties of the job

  • Working jointly with the MFT Haemoglobinopathy Coordinating Centre Team to support delivery of nationally mandated Haemoglobinopathy network service requirements. This involved working closely with both Adult and Paediatric service leads and liaising with specialist hospital teams and local hospitals across the North West of England for Sickle Cell and the North of England for Thalassaemia.
  • In consultation with HCC clinical leads agreeing and implementing annual workplans from across the network to support delivery of national and network workplans.
  • Act as a point of contact for primary and secondary care contacts enabling them to engage with the network and influence annual development plans.
  • Design, adapt and provide reports within timescales and to deadlines for a variety of clients and users. This includes information for trust internal user requests and external organisations.
  • Ensuring the timely collection, collation and scheduling of the Haemoglobinopathy Coordinating Centre MDTs.
  • Lead on scheduling of local and regional education and network governance meetings and conferences.
