Job summary
We are looking to recruit an Outpatient Clerk/Receptionist to work in the Main Outpatients of this busy teaching hospital.
This post will be located at either Wythenshawe, Withington, Trafford, Altrincham Hospital. This will be confirmed at interview.
The successful candidates will join a well established, friendly team, committed to providing a quality service to our patients. Previous clerical experience in a hospital environment would be an advantage but is not essential, as training will be given.

Main duties of the job
- Registering referrals
- ASI lists
- Validating
- Phone enquires
- Rebooking / rescheduling patients
- Work queues
- Phoning patients with appts at short notice if required
- Phoning patients and cancelling appts at short notice
- Requesting notes for the next day's clinic
- Updating patient demographics/data input
- Training
- Reception cover in multiple areas within OPD
- Any other admin duties
