Job summary
Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust (MFT) is delighted to advertise one fixed-term post for a Senior Clinical Fellow in Radiology with a specialist interest in Head & Neck imaging to join our existing motivated and dynamic team across this large, developing and aspirational Trust. This post is within the Adults' Radiology Department within the Division of Imaging.
Consideration will be made for Radiologists applying from overseas.
Candidates that are non-GMC registered at the point of application will be considered for this position, under the Trusts International Fellowship Scheme (please note, there is a £500 admin charge for this scheme). Main duties of the job
This is a post-graduate training post for Radiologists that have completed training equivalent to a UK CCT (Certificate of Completion of Training) in Radiology and wish to develop a specialist-interest in Head & Neck imaging. Previous experience in head & neck imaging is not required.
This is based at Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust (MFT). The trust is the major hub centre for all ENT & Maxillofacial surgery for the Greater Manchester region.
The post includes training opportunities in H&N imaging including CT, MR and Ultasound, with opportunities to gain experience in Dental Imaging (including Cone Beam CT), Sialography, and some relevant Nuclear Medicine Imaging depending on the applicants interest. There are no on-call or out of hours requirements with this job.
Reporting
The job is partly funded by reporting activity and the fellow will be trained and gradually signed off to independently report &/or perform various H&N exams over the course of the fellowship. The fellow will be encouraged to build up the volume of their independent reporting gradually across the year but always with access to H&N Consultant Radiologist support and second opinions. By the end of the fellowship we would aim for the fellow to be a confident, independent H&N Radiologist.
