Job summary

To assist, as instructed, in preparatory work to enable Healthcare Scientists toprovide a continuing transplantation service. Work planning and self-organisation, on a daily basis, is required.

Main duties of the job

Answering telephone calls. Communicating effectively with more seniorlaboratory staff and commercial representatives as required.Entering and retrieval of laboratory sample data and patient test results into the laboratory computerised database Creation of laboratory work sheet reports for nucleic acid extraction using the computerised laboratory database. To write Standard Operating Procedures for tasks performed with reference to the line manager To create labels for reagents, work charts for monitoring stock and equipment, and record sheets using Microsoft Word and Excel as required
