We are TraffordLocal Care Organisation - an exciting, new public sector organisation bringing together NHS community health services and adultsocial care services in Trafford. We're driven by the aim of improving the health of local people in Trafford by working across organisational boundaries.

Our community healthcare teams inadults andchildren's servicesare employed by Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust and deployed to us, linking closely with our colleagues in Manchester Local Care Organisation. Our teams work as one and together we will make a massive difference to the health of people in Trafford.

Trafford is a borough of Greater Manchester with a diverse population offering Health Visitors a wide variety of experience in terms of population demographics and working with various neighbouring providers.

We have vacancies for substantive full-time/part-time roles which present an exciting opportunity to join a team of Health Visitors who work with families and young children to improve health and social outcomes and make a real difference in a true multi-agency environment. You will need to demonstrate a positive attitude, flexibility and the ability to communicate well. The successful applicant will be able to work in a hybrid manner and flexible working hours can be discussed.

Main duties of the job

Applications are welcomed from experienced qualified Health Visitors, including those returning to practice, who are proactive and enthusiastic with excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills. All post holders need to work flexibly and be committed to working innovatively with other children's services colleagues. We are seeking to employ dynamic, forward thinking practitioners who have an awareness of contemporary policy documents relating to the development of Children's Services and the Public Health Agenda in line with the Health Visitor Implementation Plan.You must have good communication skills, the ability to work using your own initiative and be computer literate. Due to the nature of the role applicants must be able to travel independently across the locality and have access to a suitable vehicle for business purposes.Whilst successful applicants will primarily work within one team, all applicants may be required to work at other locations on occasion to ensure equitable service delivery. Core service hours are Monday to Friday 8.30 am to 5.00 pm.In return we are able to offer a thorough induction programme, supportive preceptorship arrangements, regular supervision as well as ensuring support with continuing professional development.
