Job summary
The Whitworth clinic are looking for a Nurse who is both enthusiastic and forward thinking, is a team player but also can work well independently and is committed to providing high quality care, support and health promotion to those attending the Whitworth clinic and considering a termination of pregnancy. Experience in providing contraception and sexual health advice is also desirable.
Main duties of the job
Provide clinical expertise and knowledge, demonstrating a sound understanding of the issues related to the abortion care, treatment, and management of this patient group. Monitor and improve standards of care through supervision of practice, clinical audit, evidence-based practice, teaching and supporting professional colleagues and the provision of skilled professional leadership. Contribute to the clinical governance within the service by undertaking audit and research as part of the MDT within the specialist field. Undertake a key leadership role as a specialist nurse, reporting to the department lead and matron.
