Job summary

Do you have an interest in assisting the team of sonographers at both Wythenshawe Hospital and St Mary's Hospitals within the ultrasound departments in delivering a high-quality patient focused ultrasound service?

Main duties of the job

Manchester Foundation Trust is a large NHS Trust which operates over several sites within the Manchester Area. This Radiographic department assistant post involves working primarily at the Wythenshawe Hospital site in the emergency gynae unit within the ultrasound room and at St Mary's ultrasound department dealing with pregnancy scan patients in the main.

This is a 37.5 hours per week full time job role with hours worked 8.30 am-4.30 pm, 9am-5pm and occasionally 10 am-6 pm. Monday to Friday with some weekend work required on a rotational basis as overtime.

Both ultrasound departments provide an efficient and busy ultrasound service in a welcoming atmosphere. You will be a vital member of a large, dedicated team that works together to deliver the best possible service to the patients of Manchester. To succeed you will ideally need previous experience of working in a hospital environment, with the ability to care and communicate effectively with a wide range of patients and have a flexible approach to work.
