Job summary

The Greater Manchester and East Cheshire Operational Delivery Network for Hepatitis C Elimination are looking to recruit to continue delivery of exciting projects.

The role will be hosted within the Hepatology Team at the Manchester Royal Infirmary (MRI). The role entails blood-borne virus testing, delivery of results and engaging those positive on treatment services by coordinating care and strategy plans with our partners in drug services, homeless services, prison, probation and primary care.

We are looking for an enthusiastic individual with previous experience working with patients with complex care needs. The post-holder will be required to have access to a vehicle as they will be expected to travel around Greater Manchester.

Main duties of the job

The post will be hosted by the Hepatology Department at the Manchester Royal Infirmary and the post holder will work operationally with the Hepatitis C Operational Delivery Network (ODN) for Greater Manchester and Eastern Cheshire.

The post holder will work as part of the multi-disciplinary Specialist Hepatitis team comprising of Nurses, clerical administrators, Pharmacists and Doctors. The largest units are the Infectious Diseases unit at NMGH and the Hepatology Unit at Manchester Royal Infirmary. Line management will be provided both operationally from the ODN and MRI Hepatology.

The team aims to provide blood-borne virus testing, advice, clinical assessments, provision of treatment and effective support to clients in the community. The main base of work will be the MRI however the role requires travel to community settings across Greater Manchester and Eastern Cheshire.
