Job summary
We are seeking to recruit Band 6 Specialist Audiologist/Clinical Scientist in Audiology to work in the Audiology Department based at Withington Community Hospital and Wythenshawe Hospital but there may be cross site working with North Manchester Audiology on occasion. The role involves specialist hearing and diagnostic clinics in both adults and paediatrics.
Main duties of the job
To deliver a comprehensive diagnostic and rehabilitation service for AQP and non-AQP patients using investigative and analytical skills to include:
Assessment and hearing management of adults with complex needs including cognitive decline and learning disabilities.
Assessment and management of adults with balance disorders.
Paediatric hearing assessment.
Ear care, including Wax removal using microsuction, tools and irrigation.
