MFT's EHW service provides specialist advisory services and support programmes to all MFT employees and managers, as well as to a variety of external clients. The vision of the EHW Service is to provide efficient, highly professional and cost-effective services which meet the common and often complex occupational health challenges faced by our large and diverse workforce.
Our EHW Service is recruiting to a unique role and we are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Head of Clinical Services to be our clinical lead, managing and developing our team of clinical advisers. This senior manager role will report to the Assistant Director and will be responsible for day-to-day leadership and management of the Clinical Services, whilst working as a key member of our specialist MDT . Your role will help to shape the ongoing development of trailblazing services, within occupational health.
Main duties of the job
You will ensure that services operate to high clinical standards, complementing the wider EHW service model. Working with other EHW colleagues you will have responsibility for ongoing audit and process reviews to ensure quality standards and effectiveness of services. You will support in maintaining SEQOHS accreditation and ensure ongoing compliance.
As a line manager, you will provide senior support by assisting with coaching, mentoring, appraisals, and clinical supervision, whilst maintaining your own professional development as an expert in the field of Occupational Health.
Ideally you will be a qualified Registered Nurse (RGN) and have proven experience of working within the field of occupational health and/or vaccination programmes. You will hold a higher management qualification or have equivalent demonstrable management experience having previously worked in a senior role in a large diverse organisation. You must be competent in translating complex information into reports to present to all levels of Trust staff, including Senior Managers and Directors, and have a proven track record of service development and strategic planning.
As a member of the SLT this role provides you with a unique opportunity to assist in the on-going design and implementation of a highly professional and customer focused EHW service.
