Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen at the University Dental Hospital of Manchester to support the Medical Workforce Manager and provide Personal Assistant support to the Leadership team.

As a member of a small team, the successful candidate will possess excellent organisational skills, show attention to detail and be able to work accurately and methodically and to tight deadlines.

You must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, good all round administration skills and be computer literate with a working knowledge of Microsoft Office.

Main duties of the job

  • To maintain and update the electronic system for annual, study and professional leave for all Medical Staff, adhering to local and national timescales.
  • To support the Medical Workforce Manager recording sickness absence and escalating absence triggers in accordance with the Trust policy in their absence.
  • To manage day to day workload, ensuring that priorities are identified and dealt with accordingly or escalated to the relevant management teams.
  • To provide administrative support in relation to Honorary Contracts and maintain a database for capturing information for incoming and outgoing contracts.
  • To send and record mandatory training updates/reminders to all locally employed medical staff
  • Arranging meetings for big and small groups to include virtual meetings
  • Take accurate minutes/notes at meeting
