Job summary
The post holder, working with the clinical and digital teams within NHS GM and Health Innovation Manchester will provide strategic leadership for the Greater Manchester Care Record. They will develop strategic vision, prioritising the roadmap, realise the potential of the product for clinical users, act as the user voice and design solutions. They will be jointly accountable for the procurement, development, optimisation and integration of functionalities that constitute the shared care record.
Main duties of the job
Develop a strategy based on long-term vision for shared care record functionality across Greater Manchester (GM).
Provide strong clinical leadership of the strategic development, design and implementation of the shared care record across the ICS to support better health and care, improved patient outcomes and experience, and better value and affordability.
Contribute to the strategic leadership of the procurement, development, deployment, reengineering, optimisation and integration of the shared care record to ensure they support clinicians in the delivery of safe and effective patient care across care settings.
Support organisations within the ICS to realise the potential of shared care record technology and shared information to enable high quality, safe and effective care for service users.
Ensure that delivery of the technology and information changes appropriately balance the needs of improving operational performance, improving quality of care, reducing delays in the patient pathway, meeting security and confidentiality needs, enabling continuous improvement through monitoring and research to develop improved treatment methods, and extending patient choice and patient involvement.
Develop a suite of metrics to demonstrate utilisation of and benefits realised from the GMCR.
Continue to develop governance programme and ensure alignment of these with key interdependent programme areas.

Represent the GMCR team in front of stakeholders and users.
Engage stakeholders on new initiatives, oversee analysis of use cases, develop optimal designs to re-use and extend capabilities, and implement the design
Provide specialist knowledge of clinical practice.
Act as an ambassador for the product internally and externally, overseeing the senior product manager and locality product leads who act as the primary contacts for queries relating to the product.
Collaborate with stakeholders during the visioning and concept development of a product.
