Job summary
The role has been designed specifically with the objective of providing the post holder with the relevant practical experience and support in Financial Management. The post-holder will work within a team, assisting Accountants and Accounts Officers in the provision of high quality and accurate financial information to internal and external stakeholders. This objective will be achieved through a combination of financial systems work, e.g., General Ledger and ESR (Electronic Staff Record), project work and the utilisation of Microsoft Office products such as Excel and Word. The post-holder will also undertake specific directed tasks such as data entry as well as the preparation of spreadsheets and other financial information. The post-holder will be required to communicate, both verbally and in writing, with operational staff, budget-holders and other staff within the Finance Department.
Main duties of the job
The FPBU's Corporate Team is looking to recruit a B4 Financial Management Assistant work across the Informatics Division. Working with the Deputy Corporate Accountants and Accounts Officers you will have the opportunity to gain experience across Informatics, HIVE and IM&T Group which covers many hospitals and sites.
Our team is innovative and continually challenges itself to provide services which support Corporate Directors to assist them manage their departments and to support them in providing high quality patient care. Innovations such as Day 1 monthly reporting are routine, and the successful candidate will thrive in a dynamic environment.
Excellent inter-personal and communication skills are essential with the ability to communicate financial issues effectively with both non-finance and finance staff. Strong analytical skills are also critical.
