Job summary

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced PSO to support the Digital First Primary Care Programme for Greater Manchester.

The project team is working with the ICB to deliver the DFPC and Community Pharmacy programme.

The post will be for a 12-month fixed-term contract from the start date of the post.

Working closely with the ICS Primary Care Team.

The role and team sit in the Health Innovation Manchester Digital Transformation Office (DTO).

The role is based at City Labs Health Innovation offices, Oxford Road Manchester, with flexible working.

It is expected that the postholder will attend the Office twice a week.

Main duties of the job

Playing a crucial role in supporting the planning, execution, and monitoring of the Greater Manchester Digital First Primary Care (GM DFPC) Programme, the post holder will help ensure the achievement of the programme goals and objectives are met.

The role will report to the GM DFPC Programme Manager and will also liaise closely with colleagues in partner organisations, including universities, NHS partners, industry, and other key stakeholders.

They will help ensure that actual performance against work programmes can be tracked, finances managed and controlled, and work planning can be undertaken within supporting capacity; tracking programme activity to ensure activity is undertaken as planned and progress is identified and highlighted if at risk.

Job responsibilities

Support teams to ensure that the portfolio of tasks/projects is planned, managed, and delivered effectively. Support the development, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of the tasks/projects by providing high quality support including analysis of complex information, communications, project management and stakeholder management.

Ensure accurate and open communication and co-ordination with a range of organisations and individuals, researching and drafting correspondence and papers, ensuring the management of specific tasks, lead on reporting and analysis across a range of specialties, functions and projects.

Maintains and fosters effective communication within the team, actively encouraging collaborative working, sharing of best practice, and developing the skills of the whole team.

Act as a focal point within the team to ensure work planning and activity is fully supported and coordinated and when appropriate co-ordinating and delivering team inductions to new starters within the team

As a member of the Digital Transformation Office (DTO), proactively seeks opportunities for the integration and flow of the DTO team activities within the wider organisation and that intelligence and learning is shared across the DTO team

Support other project activity within the wider HInM programme of work as required, ensuring team adherence to information governance polices, data protection legislation and reports data breaches in accordance with local policies. Adhere to internal governance processes to ensure data accuracy and consistent interpretation.

Understand and maintain a sound awareness of the health agenda nationally in particular the Greater Manchester agenda and the impact of devolution.

Contribute to ensuring there are processes in place for spreading and sharing learning and outcomes. Review and development of existing information management systems and contribute to the development of an integrated approach to project management.

Plan, schedule and monitor relevant work streams in accordance with the agreed priorities of the team leads and associated deadlines.

Possess the ability to analyse and interpret data, accurately record outcomes of evaluations/reviews using the proforma/data base. Use bespoke databases to accurately record activity / data as appropriate job role within an agreed time frame.

Communicates with internal staff and external agencies to ensure compliance with performance targets, strategic objectives.

Contribute to the strategic plan of the programme making adjustments as necessary.

Contribute to the performance improvement, taking a lead for specific areas where agreed.

Regularly use computer software to produce reports, documents and charts. Co-ordinate and support auditing of projects, services, initiatives. Carry out any audits associated with own area of work as required.

Close attention to detail and robust use of administration systems, delivering against objectives, achieving quality outcomes, prioritising own workload and working to tight deadlines.

Liaising with other professionals and agencies to organise project requirements responding flexibly to any changes in project requirements effectively and efficiently, therefore having strong and effective time management skills.
