Job summary
We are looking to recruit a B6 Specialist Physiotherapist to join the ARAS team at North Manchester General Hospital. The post will require the successful applicant to work as part of the multidisciplinary team in the ARAS Team to perform specialist assessment and treatment of respiratory patients. The post holder will be required to assess, plan, deliver and evaluate individualised patient centered care including symptom management and education and referral to other agencies as required to aid improved quality of life.
The post holder will be responsible for their own clinical caseload of assessments in classe,s and 1:1 in home visits or remote formats. To work as a member of a multi-disciplinary team (MDT) with indirect clinical supervision including acute and chronic conditions.
A car and driving license are essential to this role, to carry out home visits and community classes across North Manchester.
Main duties of the job
You will be required to work multi professionally as part of the ARAS team in evaluating via audit, feedback and developing the pulmonary rehabilitation services at North Manchester in liaison with the lead physiotherapist, lead nurse, specialist nurses, and other practitioners across MFT.
To supervise, provide training and appraisal of assistants and students.
To access support from the senior physiotherapist, specialist nurses and lead nurse. Supervision takes the form of regular formal and informal training, clinical reasoning sessions and reflective practice.
To deputise for the Senior Physiotherapist as required.
To comply with statutory requirements for physiotherapy and with the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy and HPC standards and codes of professional conduct.
