Job summary

Salford CAMHS is seeking to recruit an enthusiastic and experienced CBT therapist to work in our dynamic and developing service.

The successful candidate will be an accredited CBT therapist and have a proven ability to deliver CBT to a high standard. They will ideally have completed training/qualification in supervision and have experience of supervising staff.

They will be expected to deliver consultation and advice to the multi-disciplinary team as well as other professionals and agencies involved in the care plan.

We are looking for clinicians that are passionate about evidence based, person centred and collaborative practice. You will have excellent communication skills both verbal and written and enjoy being part of a Multi-Disciplinary Team.

Main duties of the job

  • To manage a highly specialised caseload consisting of complex psychological presentations.
  • Advise other professionals on appropriate referrals for CBT/Therapies
  • To utilise specialist assessment skills to determine a potential client's suitability for CBT/Therapies, and make informed recommendations for other treatment modalities where indicated
  • To develop individual case formulations for all clients integrating clinical assessment data with evidence based psychological models in order to plan CBT/Therapies for individual clients and collaboratively engage them in the process of therapy
  • To conduct risk assessments, preparing risk management plans and initiating appropriate action where indicated (including requests for mental health act assessments)
  • To support CAMHS Managers to promote a culture of continual improvement in the quality, diversity and performance management of services

Essential

  • Registered or have full accreditation with a professional body.e.g. NMC, SW England, UKCP, HCPC, BABCP
  • Accredited CBT therapist

Desirable

  • Certificate in Supervision skills
  • Additional post graduate training in psychological therapies and interventions

Experience

Essential

  • Experience of assessing and managing risk: including safeguarding
  • Experience of developing and providing evidenced based assessments, formulations, and care plans and effective use of ROMS
  • Relevant experience and training in CBT assessments and interventions
  • Experience of liaison and working with a range of other relevant agencies and professionals
