Manchester Foundation Trust are seeking talented and ambitious young surgeons to join the Department of Plastic Surgery and Burns as a Specialty Doctor. The post is offered 12 month fixed term contract or longer depending on on-going requirements of the service and the performance of the appointees.
The successful applicant will join a team of six existing Burns Surgery Consultants on the Consultant on call Rota, based between Wythenshawe Hospital and the Royal Manchester Children's Hospital. The on-call commitment will be 1:8 and will cover all adult and pediatric burn injury referrals to both Burn Centers within MFT
Main duties of the job
The post-holder will work at Speciality Doctor Level. The successful candidate will possess the clinical skills necessary to manage emergency patients as registrar on-call, including emergency and operative management of burns and other common emergencies under consultant supervision.
