Job summary
An opportunity has arisen for a driven and highly competent Digital Systems - Applications Manager focused on providing management of clinical and non- clinical systems used across the acute and community services. We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated individual to lead the delivery of a high-quality service that covers 10 hospitals and community services across Manchester Foundation Trust.
The successful candidate will have proven technical experience and be an expert in all issues relating to including but not limited to Order Communications, EDMS, EMIS (Community EPR), Digital Dictation other designated digital systems..
The Digital System - Applications Manager will provide line management responsibility for a large team comprising of Senior Analysts, Analysts, Junior Analysts and Administrators, promote cross site collaboration and system working practices. They will liaise with relevant IT, Clinical and non-clinical teams to provide expert advise and a high-quality service to digital systems used across the Trust.
The role will also require close working relationships with the teams responsible for the Trusts EPR system used across the Trust. This is an exciting role for an individual who likes working in a fast paced and challenging environment and thrives under pressure.
Main duties of the job
We are looking to recruit for a dynamic and forward thinking Digital Systems - Applications Manager. The successful candidate will bring wealth of knowledge in developing and supporting the clinical and non clinical systems. The Digital Systems - Applications Manager will lead in the delivery of second and third line support, system administration and system customisation for both Community and Acute services. The post holder will manage the designated systems to the highest possible standard, ensure benefits are realised and functionality is optimised, ensure system downtime is minimised and application associated risks are mitigated.
The post holder will manage a large team so staff/team management experience is essential to this role.
