Workforce Service Manager - Temporary Workforce

Job summary

This is an opportunity for a Workforce Manager looking for a challenging yet rewarding role in managing Temporary Workforce across this large organisation in the following staff groups: medical and dental, admin and clerical, estates and facilities and healthcare science and pharmacy. With the support of a small team, the Workforce Service Manager will lead the programmes of work relating to temporary staffing efficiencies and improvements as well as be responsible for day to day service delivery and support to colleagues across the Trust. Working alongside other Resourcing Service Managers, you will be part of a dedicated and passionate leadership team protecting the organisation through safe and efficient practices and continuous improvement.

Main duties of the job

The main duties of the job are:

To lead the operational support team, ensuring they are enabled to undertake their important work with accuracy, efficiency and a commitment to customer service.

To work with colleagues across the organisation to support them with managing their temporary workforce needs through clear processes and communications, identifying and resolving issues or concerns swiftly and helping them make informed decisions balancing both patient needs and costs.

To lead programmes of work to support the ongoing monitoring and management of temporary workforce usage, identifying and implementing opportunities for quality and cost improvements, in line with local, regional and national objectives.
