Join us as a Consultant Ophthalmologist at The Manchester Royal Eye Hospital, co-located on a bustling campus alongside Royal Manchester's Children's Hospital, St Mary's Women's Hospital and the Manchester Royal Infirmary. MREH is one of the largest specialist eye units within Europe and is an internationally recognised Centre of Excellence.

Main duties of the job
As our service expands, we are presented with a great opportunity for a Substantive Consultant to join the team within Acute Ophthalmology, one the leading Ophthalmic emergency services in the UK. We're searching for an enthusiastic individual to continue in this tradition and expand the service further with innovative leadership, ideas, audit and research projects. A successful candidate, particularly in the current environment of the pandemic, may have sessions on more than one site, so we are looking for a good degree of flexibility across our main Oxford Road Campus, two high street clinics and Altrincham and Trafford Hospitals. The post-holder will demonstrate high expertise in the diagnosis and management of patients with evidence of audit and research. What's more, you'll be encouraged to participate in regular MDTs to aid in the assessment and management of both general patients and cataract services.
