Job summary

We're seeking a passionate, highly motivated and dynamic health professional to undertake the deputy role to the Group Chief Nursing Informatics Officer, supporting various high profile workstreams important to our nursing, midwifery and allied health professional workforce. Ensuring our practice and care is digitally enabled, safely enabling the best possible standards of care to our patients, their families and carers.

You will work closely with the Digital Nursing, Midwifery and Allied Health Professionals Team to develop and optimise digital ways of working and develop digital capacity across the organisation, delivering on the team's vision ensuring strong clinical leadership, person centric approaches and data driven decision making.

Main duties of the job

The Deputy Chief Nursing Informatics Officer will be an experienced leader with demonstrable experience of digital transformation on medium to large scale. You will also have very good operational knowledge of services and an ability to motivate, inspire colleagues at all levels and professions. You must have a passion for quality improvement which is evidenced throughout your career and thrive in a busy fast paced working environment. Working with the clinical informatics, professional, operational and clinical teams you will support and lead the planning, development, delivery and evaluation of systems and services.

  • Current active registration with Nursing and Midwifery Council/ HCPC
  • Education to a minimum of Masters Degree level or equivalent
  • Extensive and up to date knowledge of nursing and other clinical, administrative and/ or operational workflows and processes
  • Operational management experience at a senior level
  • Experience in developing service level quality improvement through the use of technology
  • Experience of managing clinical elements of informatics/ digital projects
  • Strong evidence of identifying, reporting and managing clinical risk and digital clinical safety processes
