Job summary
We are looking to recruit a pro-active, enthusiastic and motivated Business Support Administrator with strong administration and team working skills and a commitment to delivering high quality service, to support the Nutrition and Dietetic Service. The post holder will be supporting the team based at Timperley Health Centre, working 15 hrs per week over 2 days, Thursday and Friday.
This is an interesting post where you will have the opportunity to work alongside and deliver all administration processes. The Business Support Administratorwill assist the Senior Business Support Officer in providing an efficient business support function within a neighbourhood or specialist service area. They will work collaboratively with colleagues, partners, patients and other stakeholders to meet service need as part of the All Age Integrated Health and Social Care Service.
Our community healthcare teams inadults andchildren's servicesare employed by Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust and deployed to us, linking closely with our colleagues in Manchester Local Care Organisation. Our teams work as one and together we will make a massive difference to the health of people in Trafford.
Main duties of the job
Main Responsibilities / tasks
- Handling of incoming telephone calls from clinicians and patients in a professional manner.
- Managing incoming queries by email and internal system tasks (EMIS).
- Send letters to patients and GP's as required.
- Update internal systems with patient information and updates.
- Ordering of equipment and medical supplies.
- Creating patient files.
- Stock control for frequently used supplies.
- Typing of letters using specific templates on EMIS i.e. GP prescription request, discharge letter, etc.
- To organise and send out review appointments for clinics.
- Typing of minutes - monthly staff meeting if needed.
- Typing of dietetic information, e.g. Pathways, diet sheets, processes .
- Ensure record on notes if patient has phoned and cancelled or changed appointments and ensure filed appropriately.
- Discharged patients who have cancelled or DNA, when asked by clinician, discharge from EMIS and send out letter to GP.
- Book Interpreters when necessary.
- Booking Rooms.
