Job summary
We are looking for an experienced Clinical Trial Coordinatorto join the Research & Innovation team at Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust. This post is offered as a Band 5-6 Developmental role. The post-holder will join the team at Band 5 AfC salary (Clinical Trial Coordinator) and progress to Band 6 AfC salary (Senior Clinical Trial Coordinator) upon successfully completing the competency assessment criteria checklist for the Band 6 role over the first 6 months in post. Depending on experience, the time period for completing the assessment criteria may be extended to 12 months. We will also consider the option for the successful candidate to start as a Band 6dependent upon experience.
Main duties of the job
The postholder will manage the research portfolio of the Cystic Fibrosis departments across the Divisions of Royal Manchester Children's Hospital and Wythenshawe Hospital, acting as professional lead for the programme of work. To manage clinical trials administration staff as applicable. To ensure that comprehensive, high quality and efficient administrative processes are in place for setting up studies, organising necessary approvals (ethics, R&D, MHRA, research networks etc.), data management, ensuring full compliance with the regulatory framework; including financial management of study set-up costs and income recovery for Cystic Fibrosis in conjunction with the R&I finance team.
