The hours are worked over Monday to Friday. We will consider requests for working different variations of hours.

Due to retirements we have 2 vacancies for Paediatric Secretaries within our high quality administration team:

The role is working within a busy, dynamic Community Paediatric Service, which encompasses looked after children, child development, education and child protection.

You will have proven experience of working within an office environment. You will have excellent typing and IT skills, with a very good working knowledge of Microsoft Office. A good understanding of medical terminology is ideal. Familiarity with audio/digital dictation systems is helpful.

This is a great opportunity if you are someone who has a positive, can do attitude, is team focused and wants to learn and get involved. You will be able to utilise your excellent communication, organisation and administrative skills.

Main duties of the job

To provide comprehensive secretarial and administrative support to the consultant and community paediatric team in accordance with relevant policies, procedures, protocols and guidance. The will include typing of clinical correspondence, referral management and telephone liaison.
