Job summary

An exciting opportunity has a arisen for a housekeeper to join the Targeted Lung Health check team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for working between the screening hub based at Wythenshawe hospital and the screening truck in the community.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all stock levels are correct and the general cleanliness of both the Screening hub and the screening trucks and liaising with NHS supplies to ensure stock is ordered and delivered

Also you will be expected to partake in audits to ensure cleanliness of the areas are up to standard

Main duties of the job

  • To assist in the monitoring and maintaining of cleaning standards in the clinic.
  • Identifying and rectifying problems where appropriate. Keep Specialist Nurse Lead and relevant partner organisation informed.
  • Spot cleaning, i.e. ensure spillages are dealt with swiftly and efficiently, for example in the Clinic entrance.
  • Ensure any non- clinical equipment is in a clean condition and available "
  • Upkeep of Outpatient Department appearance, i.e. remove clutter, remove dirty cups, tidy notice boards and leaflet racks, moving of light furniture - chairs.
  • Ensure that the Clinic Rooms are cleaned appropriately between each patient, and documentation completed.
  • With assistance re- hook cubicle curtains as appropriate.
  • Establish and maintain cleaning programme of clinical and non-clinical rooms. g. trolleys, drip stands, couches, treatment rooms and tidying of clean utility as stated in the standard Operating procedure for Targeted Lung Health Check.
  • Attend Patient Environment Action Team (PEAT) inspection. In conjunction with Specialist Nurse Lead, and Matron ensure any issues highlighted are actioned.
  • In conjunction with Matron, Specialist Nurse Lead and Partners, oversee the Annual Partnership Service Level Agreement. This includes, monitoring agreed clinic curtain changing programme. Authorise on completion. Monitor the window cleaning schedule 3 times a year, and outpatient periodic cleaning programme
