Job summary
An opportunity has arisen for a Management Accountant Assistant (AfC Band 4) working within the Finance Team within Estates & Facilities.
The Finance and Commercial and Contract Management Office acts as the main point of contact between the Trust and its PFI partners in respect of commercial, contractual and financial issues. Our department has been structured specially in order to meet the challenging of monitoring and managing contracts. Naturally, you will deal with some unique challenges in this vital role.
Candidates need to be, as a minimum, AAT qualified or equivalent and possess sufficient recent and relevant experience in Finance. Effective spread sheet skills, experience of computerised financial ledgers, budgeting and reporting systems are fundamental to the role. The ideal candidate will be pro-active with strong communication skills and have good analytical skills.
Main duties of the job
Operating within clearly defined limits of the policies, procedures, protocols and guidelines of the department the Management Accountant Assistant will:-
- Provide assistance to the Directorate Accountants and Deputy Finance and Commercial Manager
- Provide administrative support to the Contract and Commercial Management Office (CCMO), invoicing raising of requisitions and credits
- Assist in the production of monthly financial information & reports
- Act as a first point of contact to resolve invoice & recharge queries between the Trust and Sodexo.
- Resolve any day to day issues
- Prepare & action re-charges for Facilities & PFI services / invoices.
- Maintain accurate records & supporting documentation.
