Job summary

The WTWA Estates Asset Manager will be responsible for ensuring that all buildings, plant & infrastructure are maintained safely and cost effectively within agreed statutory requirements, in accordance with NHS and the Trust's policies and procedures. The WTWA Estates Asset Manager will manage and monitor the provision and quality of Estate Services being delivered across WTWA and ensure that those services are in accordance with the HTM's, best practice, industry standards and regulations.

Main duties of the job

The WTWA Estates Asset Manager will assist the WTWA Deputy Director of Estates in ensuring that the Directorate both creates and supports a caring environment through the delivery of an effective estates service at best cost.

The WTWA Estates Asset Manager will also provide professional, managerial & technical support to the Head of Operational Estates on core engineering issues relating to estate management, policies, statutory compliance and NHS codes of practice.

  • oDegree level Qualification in electrical, mechanical engineering, construction, H&S or similar
  • oSignificant Estates Management and the Management of Health and Safety experience.
  • oExperience of working in a multi-disciplined estates maintenance and construction environment.
  • oExperience in the management of building and maintenance contracts.
  • oAble to recognise the need to escalate issues outside the remit of the role.
  • oExperience in the processes involved in design and construction.
  • oAble to promote Services with internal and external customers
  • oAbility to chair and participate in meetings.
  • oEvidence of diplomacy and negotiation skills.
