Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Cancer Services team at Manchester Royal Infirmary. We are currently seeking an innovative,enthusiastic, self-motivated and dynamic individual to join our Cancer Services Management Team to be responsible for the proactive day-to-daymanagement and organisation of the MDT Co-Ordinator and Cancer Tracking teams.You must enjoy working in a busy environment and be able to prioritise your own and your team's workload. You will need excellent interpersonalskills, be IT literate, and able to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment

The post holder will be responsible for the data collection and validation of Cancer Waiting Times (CWT), Cancer Outcomes and Services Dataset (COSD) data and Faster Diagnosis Standards, as well as developing systems and processes to support data quality checks to ensure the trust is submitted accurate data. The post holder will be required to analyse complex data and report on trends to support the improvement of MRI data collection.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will be responsible for the data collection and validation of Cancer Waiting Times (CWT), Cancer Outcomes and Services Dataset (COSD) data and Faster Diagnosis Standards, as well as developing systems and processes to support data quality checks to ensure the trust is submitted accurate data. The post holder will also be responsible for the collation and validation of the Greater Manchester Hub submission (GM Hub). The post holder will be required to attend weekly PTL meetings identifying potential pathway delays and bottlenecks within the cancer pathway.

The post holder will also be responsible for the line management of the MDT Coordinators, Assistant Pathway Coordinators and the MDT Facilitator team and will ensure that the service is delivered in line with local and National operational policies and will be responsible for the development of the staff within Cancer Services - ultimately resulting in streamlined patient pathways and improved patient experience.

The post holder will be required to support the PTL Meetings, MRI CWT Performance and Compliance, monitoring data collection processes and compliance controls. The Post holder will be pivotal in the monitoring of Cancer Services processes across MRI, feeding into the Management of, as well as the development and training of Cancer Services staff.

The post holder will also be expected to provide cover in times of absence.
